About Me

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy and an accredited Sight Loss Counsellor. I have over a decade of experience working in the learning sectors and in private practice. I enjoy working with Adults and Adolescents from diverse cultural backgrounds. My employment history has taken me from developing my skills as a Trainer and Mentor, to supporting Young Carers, and working therapeutically with clients who can be described as Neurodiverse. I also offer Counselling to support the Visually Impaired which is an area of my work I have a particular interest in.

                    How Will Counselling help?

There are many reasons why we can all struggle at times. Speaking to the right person in a safe and confidential space can help. What I can offer is someone that will listen to you so you can discover better ways to cope, and make the changes that will benefit you.

General Information

I offer short or longer term work via online platforms and telephone at present. My work is Integrative, which means I use different ways of working to help you explore difficult  or unhelpful thoughts that you would like to change or better understand. I can work with adults and older teens with an extensive variety of emotional or behavioural difficulties that include; relationships, work stress, low confidence, anxiety, neurodiversity, abuse, bereavement, gender, racism, divorce, learning difficulties, parenting, anger and visual impairment.

Sessions for adults will help you to explore your feelings & emotions about the difficult situations that you live with. You may want to explore elements of your past that may have held you back so you can make the changes for your future. You may have had a recent loss or a change in your life that you need support with. Sessions can help you to build confidence and find the right tools to help you find healthy ways to cope with life. My work with Adolescents can explore the transition towards adulthood and the challenges it can bring. The work will look at the sources of those difficulties while helping you to develop greater awareness and healthy solutions.
